Reading is a complex skill that requires successful decoding of words, comprehension, and phonics. Reading and spelling are connected, so it is not uncommon for kids who struggle with reading also struggle with spelling. Spelling is especially difficult when words are not spelled the way they are pronounced. However, at Moody Counseling, we have a research-aligned intervention that can help improve you child’s reading and spelling skills. The intervention is rigorous but we make it fun for kids by utilizing positive reinforcement throughout the program. We measure progress at the beginning, middle, and end of the intervention. Dr. Chelsea Moodie will equip you with the skills so that way you can help your child when they are struggling to read and spell words. Parent involvement is essential!
